Throughout my entire career I have been known as a promoter of direct and intimate contact between humans and nature, as central to human development. This as opposed to the arrogant idea that a higher consciousness can be developed in isolation, or disconnected from the other people and from nature.
I have also considered important to emphasize that doing meditations in a closed room in which we imagine to be in natural landscapes, is not the same as the powerful healing effect of the real relationship with nature in the physical world, when we participate with her in with body, mind and heart.
With people, we need to look in each other´s eye and share the true word of our hearts. With that which transcends the human, we need to go out into nature and let its silent language help us recover all that we have lost in the noise of the cities.
Given the rise of digital technologies that threaten to further isolate us from other people and from the natural world, to live relating more to a tv screen, computers or cell phones, it would seem almost a contradiction that at this point in my life, I start offering digital content and over the internet learning formats.
In this regard I want to clarify that these contents and services are offered in order to encourage and support the getting close to nature and the taking care of our personal relationships in a more honest and and open way.. It is, in some way- a way to use technology to address some of the problems caused by the abuse of technology.
In the same way a good book momentarily disconnects us from the outside world, to nourish our spirit with its contents and then once we close the book, we can use its contents to nourish our interactions with other people in the real world; in the same way, is my intention that these digital contents cab help those who will use them so that, -once the computer is off- they can connect more and better with the people in their world and with the poderios of nature.
I appeal to the consciousness of every reader and user of these services to be careful and use them only as an aid to their interaction within the real world and not to isolated themselves in the digital world.
In other words… make sure that the words from the printed and digtal books… become actions and experiences in the physical world.
